Big Data Administrator @ Cbts

Job Description

• Administer, monitor, and optimize Big Data platforms and infrastructure.
• Support data pipelines, clusters, and distributed systems (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, etc).
• Implement automation using Python scripting and DevOps practices.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and Infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain solutions.
• Perform regular patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure adherence to compliance, governance, and security standards.

• Strong experience as an Infrastructure Engineer / Platform Engineer in Big Data environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Kafka administration and support.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, containerization, monitoring tools).
• Experience with cluster management, scaling, and performance tuning.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in 24/7 support environments.
