Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and self-driven SAS Data Migration Specialist to lead and deliver data management and migration projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAS, ETL processes, and experience working with cloud platforms and scripting languages such as Python or PySpark.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data management and migration projects using SAS and ETL tools.
- Design and implement data migration strategies including planning, automation, testing, and decommissioning.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS jobs using Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, and SAS Access.
- Execute processes on UNIX/Linux or Mainframe environments (JCL).
- Use Python or PySpark to build scalable and automated data pipelines.
- Work with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure preferred) for data migration and storage solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to track and report progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure all processes comply with GDPR and data privacy regulations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in data management and migration projects.
- Expert-level knowledge of SAS, including:
- Base SAS
- SAS Macro
- SAS SQL
- SAS Access
- Snowflake
- DBT
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux or Mainframe (JCL) environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python or PySpark.
- Experience with one or more databases: SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, DBT, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms preferably AWS or Azure.
- Good understanding of GDPR and data privacy principles.
