What You'll Bring
Essential Skills
- 7+ years of comprehensive QA experience, with at least 2-3 years in a lead capacity, guiding teams and driving quality initiatives.
- Exceptional debugging prowess across diverse environments, including web applications, backend APIs, and mobile platforms (Android/iOS).
- Proficiency with essential debugging and testing tools such as Postman, Charles Proxy, browser developer tools, mobile emulators, and Kibana.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript-based test automation frameworks (e.g., WebDriverIO, Playwright).
- Outstanding communication skills with a proven ability to manage escalations effectively and provide clear, concise updates to all stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work evening shifts as required to support global operations and critical releases.
Desired Skills
- Experience within the fintech or e-commerce is advantage.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools (e.g., Sentry, Grafana), and release governance processes.
- Exposure to production support models and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) frameworks.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
As a Senior/Lead SDET, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of quality and operational excellence:
- Customer Issue Debugging: Lead the charge in root cause analysis for complex issues spanning web, mobile, and backend systems. You'll collaborate closely with development and support teams to efficiently triage, replicate, and resolve customer-reported bugs within defined SLAs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a critical communication bridge, providing clear, independent, and timely updates on QA and production status to Product Managers, developers, and support managers, even outside traditional reporting structures.
- Pre-Production Sign-Offs: Drive and prioritize feature sign-offs in pre-production environments, ensuring that high-quality releases are delivered consistently and on schedule.
- On-Call & Shift Support: Partner with on-call developers and support leads during evening shifts to expertly manage hotfixes, critical rollouts, and incident responses.
- Automation Oversight: Champion and enhance our JavaScript-based automation frameworks (WebDriverIO, Playwright, etc.) to significantly reduce regression risk and accelerate testing cycles.
Location
This role is based in Bangalore, and we strongly prefer candidates who are already located there or are willing to relocate.
Role Urgency
