Network Automation Engineer 5-8 yrs experience Key Responsibilities Design and implement automation solutions using Python and Ansible Develop modular playbooks, roles, and inventory structures for consistent deployments Automate platform provisioning, configuration, compliance, patching, and monitoring workflows Create Python wrappers/utilities for orchestrating Ansible executions, processing data, and integrating with APIs Integrate with APIs and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Git, RESTful services, cloud APIs) Build automation pipelines that are version-controlled, testable, and repeatable Develop internal tooling and dashboards to monitor automation performance Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions Contribute to automation strategy, documentation, and continuous improvement Required Skills Expert-level Python scripting: Classes, modules, error handling, API consumption, etc. Advanced Ansible experience: Writing roles/playbooks, Jinja2 templating, Ansible Vault, dynamic inventories Hands-on experience automating Linux/Unix system administration tasks Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, network topologies, etc.) Experience with REST APIs: Consuming external services, integrating data flows Comfort with debugging live automation environments and logs
