Software Engineer Production Support (Python/AWS) @ Indecomm

Job Description

• Provide production support and enhancements for Python-based AWS Lambda and serverless applications.
• Monitor logs, metrics, and alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot and debug production incidents to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis of recurring issues and collaborate with engineering teams on permanent fixes.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate support tasks and improve monitoring capabilities.
• Use SQL queries to investigate, troubleshoot, and validate data-related issues.
• Work closely with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to address production challenges.
• Document issues, resolutions, and best practices to strengthen the support knowledge base.
• Participate in on-call support rotation and handle incident escalations.
• Communicate status, risks, and resolution updates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering/Technology (BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech) or Computer Applications (BCA/MCA).
• 3 5 years of experience in software development and production support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python programming.
• Solid knowledge of AWS Lambda and serverless application development.
• Basic SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with key AWS services such as S3, RDS, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, and IAM.
• Good understanding of event-driven architectures and serverless workflows.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
