Job Description
Essential Functions - Foundational- Ability to decompose requirements into user stories and perform risk analysis in order to provide clarity for development team members
- Utilizes knowledge of the software development lifecycle and engineering principles to ensure effective and on-time delivery of quality software applications
- Participates in product and feature demonstrations including client focus groups, internal partner presentations, client application presentations, management presentations and training
- Effectively utilizes Application Lifecycle Management system for documentation, prioritization and traceability
- Ensures that documentation and deliverables comply with established internal quality systems and regulatory standards
- Collaborates with geographically distributed teams
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Essential Functions Regular RE (Additional to Foundational)
- Applies knowledge of industry, domain, workflows and personas to create requirements that reflect user needs, strategic direction, and project scope
- Continually engages with product team members and appropriate client personas to validate deliverables and to ensure that requirements will satisfy the intended purpose along with needs of real world usage
- Effectively prioritizes the requirements backlog to address functional and non-functional needs and to provide accuracy and predictability of delivery
- Understanding of data structures and data flow between systems
- Ability to represent product workflows and requirements in appropriate visual or graphical representations (ex: process flow diagram, data flowchart, wireframes, low fidelity prototypes, etc.)
- Strong product knowledge and understanding of the healthcare market, client business drivers, user personas, etc. to inform product design and prioritization decisions
- Strong understanding of requirements dependencies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES - (Additional to Foundational and Regular)
Soft Skills:
- Accountability for ensuring actions are taken to bring about timely, high quality and positive results within a specified timeframe
- Ability to think about the solution approach including interoperability with other products
Hard Skills:
- Ability to utilize user story mapping as a method of prioritizing functionality by focusing on value and customer outcomes
