Job Title: Senior Human Factors Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Human Factors Design Engineer with expertise in UX/UI design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and proven experience in designing applications from scratch. The ideal candidate will combine user-centered design principles, human factors engineering, and visual design to create intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for new applications, from concept to final implementation.
• Apply human factors principles and usability engineering standards to ensure designs meet user needs, safety, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and A/B testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI patterns to ensure consistency across platforms.
• Advocate for accessibility (WCAG, ADA) and inclusive design practices in all deliverables.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design best practices.
• Stay updated with emerging trends, design methodologies, and tools to continuously enhance user experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, product design, or human factors engineering.
• Strong portfolio showcasing applications designed from scratch with emphasis on usability, aesthetics, and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design/prototyping tools.
• Strong understanding of human factors principles, ergonomics, and user-centered design methodologies.
• Experience conducting usability studies, cognitive walkthroughs, and task analysis.
• Knowledge of responsive design, cross-platform design (web & mobile), and design systems.

Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
