Job Title: NMS/EMS/OSS Solution Architect
Location: Hyderabad
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Technology Services
Reports To: Vice President - Technology / CTO
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned NMS/EMS/OSS Solution Architect with a minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience having deep expertise in designing and deploying network management systems, element management systems, and OSS platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong architectural skills, a solid understanding of ITOM and ITIL processes, and hands-on experience with workflow automation, ticketing platforms, and network performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design:
- Design and document High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for NMS/EMS/OSS solutions.
- Architect scalable and resilient systems for multi-vendor network environments.
- Define integration strategies for North-Bound Interfaces (NBI) and South-Bound Interfaces (SBI).
Deployment & Integration:
- Lead deployment of NMS/EMS/OSS platforms across telecom and enterprise networks.
- Integrate with third-party systems using SNMP, REST APIs, SOAP, CORBA, and other protocols.
- Ensure seamless interoperability with existing IT infrastructure and OSS/BSS systems.
Process & Workflow Management:
- Implement and optimize ITOM processes including event, incident, problem, and change management.
- Align architecture with ITIL best practices and service management frameworks.
- Design and automate process flows and workflows for fault, performance, and configuration management.
Ticketing & Service Platforms:
- Integrate NMS/EMS with ticketing platforms such as OpenText SMAX, ServiceNow, Remedy, or JIRA.
- Automate ticket generation, escalation, and resolution workflows based on SLA thresholds.
SLA Reporting & Optimization:
- Define SLA metrics and implement real-time and historical reporting dashboards.
- Analyse network performance data to identify trends and recommend optimization strategies.
- Capability to collaborate with operations teams to improve service quality and reduce downtime.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, integration guides, and operational manuals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal security policies.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in NMS/EMS/OSS architecture and deployment (e.g., HPE OV Suite, OpenText NNM/NoM/NA, Zabbix, Netcool, OpenView, Cisco Prime/EPNM, , Nokia NFM).
- Strong understanding of ITOM and ITIL processes and their application in network operations.
- Expertise in North-Bound/South-Bound integrations and protocol handling (SNMP, REST, SOAP, XML, JSON).
- Experience with workflow automation and ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell, Perl) and automation tools.
- Familiarity with network technologies (IP/MPLS, LTE/5G, SD-WAN, DWDM).
- Knowledge of network performance monitoring, SLA reporting, and optimization techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (IT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field).
- Trained on ITIL processes, ServiceNow, SMAX, NNM/NoM or relevant OSS/NMS platforms.
- Experience in telecom OSS/BSS environments and cloud-native NMS/EMS solutions.
- Exposure to AI/ML-based network analytics and predictive maintenance tools.
Work Environment:
- On-Site work model with occasional travel to client or project sites.
