Quality Assurance and Automation Tester @ Dectree Infotech

Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Automation Tester with strong hands-on expertise in automation script execution. The role is focused on running automated tests, analyzing results, debugging issues, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Role & responsibilities

• Execute automated test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Write, maintain, and update automation test scripts based on project requirements.
• Debug failed scripts, identify root causes, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Perform regression testing and participate in CI/CD pipeline executions.
• Prepare, document, and share detailed test execution reports.
• Ensure all automated test cases align with business requirements and test coverage.
• Collaborate with manual testers and developers to validate fixes and enhancements.
• Maintain test environments and ensure smooth execution cycles.

Key Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, or Jest.
• Experience in API testing & automation (Postman, Rest Assured, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong debugging skills with an execution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, or a related technical field.
• 24 years of experience as an Automation Tester.
• QA/Automation certification (preferred but not mandatory).
