Job Description

    Job Purpose

    Responsible for overseeing the Car Finance collections portfolio while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The role includes achieving recovery targets, managing external partners and agencies, and driving performance improvements through effective strategies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive recovery efforts by meeting collection targets through direct customer visits and coordination with collection agencies.
    • Track performance metrics regularly and share progress updates with relevant stakeholders.
    • Ensure all repossession and recovery activities are conducted in compliance with legal and regulatory norms.
    • Maintain clear and updated records of customer interactions, payments, and case status.
    • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collections and risk (including DRR Daily Risk Report).
    • Address customer escalations promptly, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
    • Monitor case-wise progress and ensure resolution is achieved within AOP-defined timelines.
    • Manage and analyze debt portfolios to identify trends and improve collection strategies.
    • Lead initiatives to improve collection efficiency and reduce overdue cases.
    • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners for seamless execution of collection processes.
    • Supervise vendors and ensure service delivery meets defined SLAs.
    • Contribute to risk mitigation through proactive portfolio and compliance management.

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    • Graduate in any discipline (Postgraduate qualification preferred).
    • Prior experience in debt recovery or collections, ideally within car finance or a similar financial services sector.
    • Good understanding of legal and compliance frameworks governing collections.
    • Proficient in portfolio management, risk analysis, and regulatory compliance.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Capable of handling team dynamics, vendor relationships, and cross-functional coordination.
    • Skilled in generating reports, analyzing trends, and implementing effective recovery strategies.
    • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets within deadlines.
