Junior Simulation Engineer @ Equavantage Consulting

Job Description

As a Simulation Engineer, your role involves conducting structural, thermal, and fluid flow simulations using FEA and CFD tools to support design and engineering decisions. You will be responsible for validating and interpreting simulation results, providing actionable recommendations to design and manufacturing teams, and developing automated simulation workflows for enhanced efficiency and consistency. Additionally, documenting technical findings, creating simulation reports, and staying updated with the latest trends in simulation tools are key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct structural, thermal, and fluid flow simulations using FEA and CFD tools. - Validate and interpret simulation results, offering actionable recommendations. - Develop and automate simulation workflows to enhance efficiency. - Document technical findings and create simulation reports and presentations. - Stay abreast of the latest trends in simulation tools, particularly in industrial and smart manufacturing sectors. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, and Nastran, as well as CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, and Simcenter STAR-CCM+. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, or a related engineering field. - Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in FEA and CFD simulation roles. - In-depth knowledge of engineering principles including solid mechanics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics. - Proficiency in CAD tools, such as Siemens NX. - Familiarity with meshing techniques and model setup for static and transient analyses. - Knowledge of scripting languages like Python and MATLAB for automation purposes is advantageous.
