Job Description
- As a Ruby Developer at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in supporting the transition of the legacy Ruby on Rails system to ASP.NET Core. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing and documenting the existing Ruby on Rails codebase. - Collaborating with ASP.NET Core developers to ensure accurate migration. - Providing insights and support during the transition phase. - Maintaining and troubleshooting the legacy system during migration. - Assisting in data migration and validation. To excel in this role, you are required to have: - Strong experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails. - Ability to read, understand, and refactor legacy code. - Familiarity with database design and ActiveRecord. - Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. - Experience with system migrations is a plus. Additionally, working as a Software Engineer at Capgemini involves: - Applying scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems. - Developing and applying software engineering practice and knowledge in research, design, development, and maintenance. - Exercising original thought and judgment, along with supervising the technical and administrative work of other software engineers. - Building skills and expertise in the software engineering discipline to meet standard software engineer skills expectations. - Collaborating and acting as a team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
