Job Description
- Role Overview: As a Partner - Financial Sponsor in the Wholesale Banking division's New Economy Group, you will play a strategic role in managing relationships with venture capital (VC) firms, private equity (PE) firms, and other financial sponsors. Your primary responsibility will be to build and nurture high-impact relationships with these entities to provide bespoke banking solutions and engage fruitfully with the Financial Sponsors. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, acquire, and manage relationships with Financial Sponsors, focusing on larger entities. - Establish banking relationships at both the institutional/fund management level and with key decision-makers within the sponsor ecosystem. - Provide tailored banking solutions for fund operations, treasury, and lending to ensure comprehensive 360-degree banking engagement with the Financial Sponsors. - Map and engage strategically with portfolio companies of financial sponsor clients. - Facilitate introductions of portfolio companies to the Partner - NEG team for onboarding and servicing. - Design customized solutions across asset, liability, and transaction banking offerings in collaboration with internal sales and product teams for these portfolio companies. - Collaborate with Wholesale and Retail Banking stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive go-to-market strategy. - Work with product, operations, and onboarding teams to deliver a smooth and efficient customer journey. - Engage with marketing and ecosystem teams to build visibility through joint engagements, ecosystem partnerships, and thought leadership. - Track key trends in the sponsor landscape, including investment themes, sectoral focus, and fundraising activities. - Maintain and update internal sponsor portfolios to ensure proactive coverage of sponsor entities and their investee companies. - Contribute to ideation around new product development, sector playbooks, and sponsor engagement strategies. Qualification Required: - MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent from a reputed institution.
