Job Description: Microsoft Fabric Developer (5 to 7 Years Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Fabric Developer with 57 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data integration and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Data Engineering, and Data Warehousing concepts, along with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows, Data Engineering, and Data Warehouse components).
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Develop and manage lakehouses, data warehouses, and semantic models within Microsoft Fabric.
- Implement and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards, ensuring performance and usability.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (cloud, on-premises, APIs) into Fabric environments.
- Ensure data governance, quality, and security standards are applied consistently.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users for end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions.
- Optimize queries, pipelines, and storage to improve performance and cost-efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure data services.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including:
- Data Factory (pipelines, orchestration, ETL/ELT).
- OneLake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse.
- Power BI datasets and semantic models.
- Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, DAX, and performance tuning).
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development and data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema).
- Experience with Power BI development (reports, dashboards, row-level security).
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Familiarity with Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, Azure Functions, Logic Apps) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Data Engineer) are highly desirable.
- Experience in data migration projects or transitioning from legacy platforms to Microsoft Fabric.
- Knowledge of Python, PySpark, or other scripting languages for data processing.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.Role & responsibilities
