Production Engineer
Reports To:
Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Manufacturing projects from Proto types to Mass production. This role ensures that projects meet technical requirements, timelines, budgets, and quality standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams, EMS contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Prepare project planning & scheduling for the Mass Production
- Source and negotiate with suppliers, EMS vendors, and logistics partners for raw materials and finished goods
- Coordinate with different departments, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor production progress and address any deviations from the plan.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock
- Monitor production schedules, track work orders, and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in production processes for smooth operations.
Production Coordination:
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely manufacturing and order fulfillment.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in production processes for smooth operations.
- Work closely with EMS production, quality control teams and internal Design teams to ensure production meets company Quality standards.
- Provide & ensure all Engineering documents available for mass production to EMS vendors
- Document production & Quality activities, including design changes, approvals, and final reports
Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all project activities adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct EMS site inspections and audits to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement corrective actions to resolve any quality or safety issues.
Vendor & Client Coordination:
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Negotiate with vendors to procure necessary materials and services.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Logistics & Distribution:
- Coordinate shipments and logistics operations to ensure timely delivery to customers Optimize transportation costs and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and purchase orders.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Electronics/ Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in Electronics manufacturing in Automotive Electronics industry
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Electronics manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
