Job Description
Designer BIW Structure & Closure CAD Design & Development
- Design and develop complex components for assemblies in the primary structural framework, from concept to series production.
- Interpret component designs with focus on functionality, manufacturability, and feasibility within the system.
- Independently create components and joining techniques in CAD, considering requirements.
Main Hard Skills
- Strong knowledge in developing doors and closures and basic structures (main body, front section, rear wagon).
- Very good understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Knowledge of tools and development processes used by common OEMs.
Main Soft Skills
- Analytical thinking and quality awareness.
- Good communication skills in English or German, with ability to work in teams and interact with customers.
Challenge
- Independently coordinate scopes across interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
Education
- B.Sc./ M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or Vehicle Engineering.
Software
- CATIA V5/V6, standard OEM tools.
- Teamcenter
