Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a DevOps mindset who can champion automation, mentor teams, and establish best practices for AWS infrastructure-as-code. You will play a critical role in ensuring our applications run securely, reliably, and efficiently in the cloud.
II. Roles & Responsibilities: - Lead initiatives to design and deploy applications to the cloud.
- Promote a DevOps culture by mentoring peers and establishing AWS development best practices.
- Champion automation tools and infrastructure-as-code to improve software delivery and reduce operational risk.
- Build and deploy Docker images, including using Docker Compose.
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters in AWS EKS.
- Create and deploy Helm charts and libraries.
- Author and maintain declarative CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Core.
- Monitor and maintain production environments with tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and Splunk Cloud.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and scalability.
6 9 years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, and production support.
IV. Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional): - Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator) preferred.
Must Have:
- Hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment.
- Strong experience building and deploying Docker images and working with Docker Compose .
- Experience managing Kubernetes workloads and maintaining AWS EKS clusters .
- Proficiency with Helm charts , Terraform (IaC) , and Jenkins Core for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring tools ( CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk Cloud ).
- Strong understanding of UNIX operating systems and shell scripting.
- Programming experience (Python preferred).
- Familiarity with Git and Agile/Kanban methodologies.
Nice to Have:
- Experience managing applications in a large AWS cross-account environment with IAM and SSO .
- Expertise in logging, monitoring, and alerting best practices.
- Experience with CDN providers (e.g., Akamai).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to design secure, scalable, and highly available microservices-based applications in AWS.
