We are seeking a skilled VB.NET Developer with 5+ Years of Experience to support and enhance our suite of Windows-based on-premises applications integrated with SQL Server and Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in legacy application support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, with a focus on reliability and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing VB.NET Windows Forms applications.
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and database teams to ensure system stability and performance.
- Participate in application upgrades, patching, and migration planning.
- Document technical processes, workflows, and support procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security and data governance policies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in VB.NET development (Windows Forms or WPF).
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing).
- Experience supporting on-premises Windows applications in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS).
- Understanding of Windows Server environments and Active Directory integration.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with legacy system modernization or migration to cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of .NET Framework internals and performance tuning.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
