Job Title: Senior Drupal DeveloperLocation: Pune
Experience: 5+ Years
I. Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Drupal Developer with strong expertise in Drupal 9/10 site building, theming, and custom module development. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of PHP, modern OOP patterns, and Drupal ecosystem tools such as Composer, Drush, and Symfony components. This role involves delivering scalable, secure, and responsive digital solutions, integrating with APIs, and supporting both traditional and headless CMS architectures. Candidates must bring a strong technical foundation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
II. Roles & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Drupal-based websites and applications. Build and customize themes, templates, and reusable components for scalable digital solutions. Develop and maintain custom Drupal modules aligned with business and technical requirements. Implement responsive, cross-browser-compatible interfaces using HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS), and JavaScript. Collaborate with UX/UI teams and backend developers to deliver seamless integrations and optimized user experiences. Work with Composer, Drush, and Symfony components for efficient development and deployment workflows. Integrate and consume RESTful APIs to support headless and decoupled Drupal architectures. Apply agile methodologies and Git-based workflows for version control and collaborative development. Troubleshoot issues, perform debugging, and optimizing performance across applications. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and project teams, ensuring requirements are translated into high-quality deliverables.
III. Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Drupal development. Prior experience in a digital agency or fast-paced multi-project environment is highly desirable.
IV. Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional): Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Acquia Certified Drupal Developer or similar certification preferred.
V. Skill Set Required:
Must have: Strong expertise in Drupal 9/10 site building, theming, and custom module development. Proficiency in PHP with a solid understanding of modern OOP patterns. Hands-on experience with Composer, Drush, Twig, and Symfony components. Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS), JavaScript, and responsive web design best practices. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, headless CMS approaches, and third-party integrations. Familiarity with Git-based workflows and agile development practices. Strong communication skills with proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
Nice to have: Certifications such as Acquia Certified Drupal Developer. Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue) or decoupled Drupal setups. Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools. Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins). Contributions to the Drupal community (modules, patches, forums, etc.)..
