AI Engineer - Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive AI Engineer with a full-stack background(added advantage) to join our team as a contractor. This role is perfect for a self-starter who can quickly build and deploy AI-powered applications. The ideal candidate will have strong foundational knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and a knack for integrating them into production-ready systems. You will play a key role in accelerating our development cycles by bringing a blend of AI expertise and practical software engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop LLM-powered applications and agents from concept to deployment.
- Integrate LLM APIs and other AI models into our existing systems using FastAPI to build scalable and efficient services.
- Build AI agents by implementing core components such as planners, tool-use mechanisms, and memory to enable complex, multi-step tasks.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient Python code that adheres to best practices.
- Containerize applications using Docker and work with CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with the team to design system architecture and contribute to both front-end (React) and back-end development.
- Implement application security principles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong Python Proficiency: A non-negotiable requirement. Must be comfortable with object-oriented programming, data structures, and common Python libraries.
- LLM Fundamentals: Foundational knowledge of how Large Language Models work, including concepts like prompt engineering and API usage.
- API Integration: Proven experience with FastAPI for building robust and fast APIs.
- Agent Building: Hands-on experience or a strong understanding of the components of an AI agent, including a planner, tool-use, and memory.
- Deployment Experience: Familiarity with Docker for containerization and a basic understanding of CI/CD principles.
- Full-Stack Knowledge: Experience with full-stack development, with React and Python being a significant advantage.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive and creative approach to debugging and solving complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment
