Job Description: QA Pathology Coding

Location: Bangalore / Coimbatore

Work Mode: Work from Office

Experience: 3 - 8 years

Qualification: Any graduation

Certification: CPC / COC / CCS (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and audit coded medical records for Pathology and Toxicology reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
• Identify and correct coding errors while ensuring adherence to payer-specific guidelines and compliance regulations.
• Provide feedback, training, and mentoring to coders on pathology and toxicology coding standards.
• Monitor coding quality metrics and ensure QA benchmarks are consistently met.
• Collaborate with operations and training teams to address recurring errors and process gaps.
• Stay updated with CMS, AMA, and AAPC guidelines, as well as regulatory updates in pathology and toxicology coding.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Clinical Pathology and Toxicology coding.
• Hands-on experience with CPT codes 8000089*** (Pathology & Laboratory section).
• Good understanding of drug testing codes, molecular pathology codes, and toxicology panels.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and feedback delivery skills.
