JD for ECM resource OpenText ECM Functional Consultant
Primary and Must Have skill set
Strong knowledge of ECM architecture, OT system administration, and OpenText modules
Administer and maintain OpenText products and associated modules (e.g., Content server, Directory Services, Archive Server, Records Management, Webreport, LiveReport, Intelligent Viewer..etc.).
Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs using OpenText platforms (Content Server, Extended ECM, Documentum, etc.).
Perform regular upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in the ECM environment.
Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues and bottlenecks.
Troubleshoot issues, Search and Index scaling, Application scaling (adding partition, search engines, admin server..etc.), Platform Scaling, Application patching (via System Center) , High availability implementation and support
Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand content management requirements.
Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory policies.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution or escalation.
Create and maintain system documentation, configuration details, and process manuals.
Assist in planning and execution of system migrations and infrastructure changes.
Support integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft 365).
Good to Have
Basic knowledge of Java, HTML, XML, or REST/SOAP APIs is a plus.
Familiarity with SMARTUI & SAP Extended ECM (xECM) integration is good to have.
ArchiveLink for SAP in Content Suite Platform
Proficiency in SQL, Windows/Linux server environments, and scripting tools (PowerShell, Shell).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
