Job Description
Role : SAP Basis Consultant
Experience :5+years
Primary skills : SAP Basis + Oracle background
Location :Hyd/Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai/Noida
Key Responsibilities
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle database administration (backup, recovery, performance tuning).
- Experience with SAP installations, system copies, migrations, and upgrades.
- Knowledge of SAP transport management and SAP Security concepts.
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, etc.).
- Perform daily SAP BASIS administration tasks, including client copy, system refresh, and transport management.
- Manage and optimize Oracle database performance, backup, recovery, and patching activities.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to SAP and Oracle environments.
- Apply SAP Notes, support packages, kernel upgrades, and enhancement packs.
- Coordinate with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth system operations.
- Implement and manage system security, user administration, and authorization profiles.
- Support SAP migrations, database upgrades, and Unicode conversions.
- Prepare system documentation, operational procedures, and reports.
- Familiarity with Solution Manager, SAP HANA (added advantage).
- Understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production issues on a rotational basis.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
