Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Architect to lead our enterprise data initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and managing scalable data architectures, ensuring data quality, governance, and integration across systems. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise data modeling, on-premises and cloud data platforms, and big data technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data architecture and modeling.
- Develop and maintain data schemas, models, metadata, and data lineage documentation.
- Implement robust data governance frameworks to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance.
- Design scalable data integration pipelines and quality frameworks across diverse data sources.
- Optimize performance and storage strategies for on-premises databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Teradata).
- Lead the design and evolution of Data Warehousing solutions.
- Design and deploy big data platforms using Hadoop and Spark.
- Integrate and manage cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into architectural solutions.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in data architecture, governance, and technologies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in data architecture and engineering.
- Strong experience with enterprise data modeling, schema design, and metadata management.
- Deep knowledge of data governance and data lineage best practices.
- Hands-on experience with on-premises databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Teradata.
- Expertise in Data Warehousing design and implementation.
- Proven experience with big data technologies including Hadoop and Apache Spark.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).
- Strong understanding of data integration frameworks, ETL/ELT tools, and data quality management.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
