Job Description
- As a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer at GlobalLogic, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Your responsibilities will extend beyond technical tasks to leading projects, designing solutions, and mentoring junior engineers. Your proactive approach and strong technical background will pave the way for growth into senior leadership roles. Working independently on key initiatives, you will collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to enhance the overall software delivery lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions. - Lead the deployment and management of containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments. - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated provisioning and management of AWS infrastructure. - Establish monitoring and logging solutions with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack to ensure system reliability. - Identify and automate repetitive tasks to enhance team efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Lead DevOps projects independently from inception to completion, taking ownership of technical solutions. - Act as a technical point of contact for projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on requirements. - Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical assistance and promoting best practices. - Conduct code reviews for IaC and scripting to ensure quality and security standards adherence. - Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to integrate DevOps practices early in the software development lifecycle. - Participate in incident management and root cause analysis, recommending preventive measures. - Continuously evaluate and propose new tools and technologies to improve DevOps capabilities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - Master's degree or equivalent advanced degree preferred. - Experience with Kubernetes on AWS EKS and related AWS networking integrations. - Familiarity with Helm, Kubernetes ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Ingress controllers. - Understanding of service discovery and DNS-based routing in Kubernetes. - Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) and security tooling.
