Job Description
- Budgeting & Forecasting Prepare detailed annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Audit and Analysis - Refine charts of accounts for operating & corporate entities and should be able to understand P&L and balance sheets really well.
- Database Management Maintain investor reporting databases and loan management platforms (Yardi proficiency required).
- Deal Diligence Perform due diligence on new transactions, including financial, operational, and market analysis.
- Performance Tracking Track and analyze KPIs, IRR, cash-on-cash returns, and other financial metrics.
- Reporting Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and investors.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Finance, Capital Markets, Investments, Analytics, and Technology teams.
- Project Participation Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and assist other finance teams as needed.
- Requirements Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics from a top university.
- Experience: 25 years in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or real estate finance.
- Software Expertise: Strong proficiency in Yardi and Advance Excel, Google sheets, Bonus with Power BI.
- Real Estate Knowledge: Direct exposure to multifamily assets in the U.S. real estate market.
- Analytical Skills: Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in variance and KPI analysis.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare and present reports to senior stakeholders.
- Work Ethic: Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work extended hours when necessary in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Degree: Masters in Finance, Economics, or Business preferred.
- Certifications: CFA, CA, or CPA (completed or in progress) will be viewed favorably.
- Private Equity Experience: Exposure to private equity capital structures and investor reporting highly desirable.
