Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation & Performance Engineer for a contract role with one of our leading hospitality clients. The engineer will be responsible for scripting, executing, and analyzing both functional API automation tests and performance tests to ensure enterprise applications meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and speed.Job Description
We are looking for a QA Automation & Performance Tester to join our team. This position will be a full-time, long-term contract and remote.
What You'll Do
Design, script, and execute API automation tests using Postman and other automation frameworks
Build and run performance and load tests in JMeter based on workload models
Apply core performance engineering practices including workload modeling, parameterization, correlation, and execution of load, stress, endurance, and resiliency tests
Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and operations to triage issues and improve application scalability and reliability
Document performance test results and provide actionable insights for stakeholders
What You'll Need
Required:
47 years of QA automation experience with strong focus on API automation and performance testing
Proficiency in JMeter including test script creation, execution, and results analysis
Experience with Postman for API testing
Ability to write BeanShell scripts within JMeter
Strong knowledge of performance engineering concepts, including workload models, parameterization, correlation, and protocols (web, web services, etc.)
Hands-on experience analyzing system and application performance metrics to diagnose issues and recommend fixes
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira), and monitoring tools
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with QA and automation testing in large enterprise environments
Preferred:
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Exposure to other automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
