Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Database Developer with strong expertise in MongoDB, relational databases like MS SQL, and programming experience in Python. This role will involve developing, optimizing, and managing both MS SQL and relational data systems, while also collaborating with data engineering teams to support scalable and high-performance data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance MongoDB databases and
schemas.
Build and optimize SQL Server (MS SQL) databases including stored procedures, triggers,
indexing, and performance tuning.
Develop Python scripts and utilities for data processing, ETL pipelines, and database automation
tasks.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to build robust data pipelines that support
analytical and operational workloads.
Perform data migration and integration between different database platforms.
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, availability, and integrity issues.
Ensure security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies for all data systems.
Stay updated with best practices in MongoDB schema design, indexing, and aggregation
frameworks.
Contribute to data governance, quality, and documentation efforts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proficiency in MongoDB including schema design, aggregation pipeline, and indexing strategies.
Strong expertise in MS SQL Server (T-SQL, performance tuning, query optimization).
Good to have programming experience in Python for scripting, automation, or data engineering
tasks.
Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Airflow, Pandas-based
pipelines).
Understanding of REST APIs and data integration patterns.
Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
