Role Description
As a Unity Developer specializing in 3D modeling for mining sites, you will be responsible for building realistic, interactive, and optimized 3D mining environments. You will collaborate with geologists, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate real-world mining operations into accurate digital representations. The role combines 3D modeling expertise, performance optimization, and Unity development to support visualization, training, and simulation needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement 3D models of mining sites using Unity.
Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure accuracy of mining environment representation.
Optimize 3D models for performance, usability, and scalability.
Integrate 3D models with existing enterprise systems, simulations, or workflows.
Conduct testing, debugging, and validation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Stay updated on latest Unity, 3D graphics, and VR/AR technologies to continuously improve modeling processes.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Unity Developer with a strong portfolio of 3D modeling projects.
Proficiency in Unity and C# programming.
Experience with 3D modeling software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
Strong understanding of 3D graphics, rendering techniques, textures, lighting, and animation.
Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the mining or industrial sector.
Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD software.
Familiarity with VR/AR development and immersive environments.
