Job Title: Manager IT Infra Enabling Function
Job Location: Bangalore / Pune, India
Job summary: We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and manage our organizations IT operations across India and the US. This role involves overseeing desktop support, infrastructure management, procurement, and data security, while ensuring seamless collaboration between cross-border teams. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and people management skills.
Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management
- Oversee and maintain all IT systems, networks, and hardware across offices in India and the US.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure components.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of 35 IT support professionals.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Desktop & End-User Support
- Manage and resolve escalated desktop support issues.
- Ensure timely onboarding/offboarding of employees with proper IT provisioning.
Data Security & Compliance
- Implement and monitor data security policies and practices.
- Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to ensure adherence to global standards (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA).
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Manage procurement of IT assets, software licenses, and services.
- Negotiate with vendors and ensure cost-effective purchasing and renewals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, HR, and operations teams across India and the US.
- Ensure alignment of IT services with business needs and global standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and policies.
- Provide regular reports on IT performance, incidents, and improvements.
Desired Profile:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and support roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of desktop support, networking, and system administration.
- Experience working with distributed teams across India and the US.
- Knowledge of data security principles and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience in IT procurement and vendor management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., JAMF, Intune).
- Exposure to healthcare or regulated industries is a plus.
