Job Description
Position Title: Automation Tester with Python Development
Location: Pune
Experience Level: 6+ Years
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester with strong Python development experience to join our QA and development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing automated test scripts, building robust testing frameworks, and ensuring the quality and stability of software applications. Youll work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to integrate testing into every phase of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
- Create and manage test frameworks using tools like Pytest, Selenium, Robot Framework, or unittest.
- Perform API testing using Python libraries such as requests or tools like Postman.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability and coverage of features.
- Conduct unit, integration, functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Analyze test results, debug issues, and report bugs using tools like Jira.
- Contribute to code reviews, test plans, and documentation.
- Ensure best practices in testing and software development processes.
- Maintain and refactor legacy test code to improve reliability and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Selenium).
- Experience in API testing and validating data with JSON/XML formats.
- Good understanding of software testing principles (unit, functional, regression, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
