Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lead Software Engineer with expertise in Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kafka to lead the development of high-performance, scalable software solutions. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can design, architect, and guide a team in delivering robust applications that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside a team of engineers to design and develop high-volume Java applications
- Deliver high-quality software solutions through hands-on development and technical leadership
- Collaborate with technical leads, business analysts, and system analysts to define features and user stories
- Take ownership of medium-sized projects/initiatives or multiple components of larger initiatives, with occasional formal team supervision
- Design and implement complex applications, system interfaces, and documentation such as user guides and development guides
- Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers
- Drive knowledge sharing, contributing to the growth of the teams technical skills
- Perform code development, reviews, and occasional day-to-day support tasks
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for production support, addressing incidents and troubleshooting problem tickets
- Focus on performance, scalability, and code optimization during development
- Stay aligned with best practices and design principles to ensure system robustness and maintainability
Requirements
- 13+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 5+ years in Java development using Core Java, applying SOLID principles, multithreading, and design patterns
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Rest API development
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microservices and Kafka for messaging/streaming
- Familiarity with network stack technologies like GRPC and HTTP/2
- Background in security stack implementations, including OWASP, OAuth, and encryption protocols
- Proficiency in database technologies and SQL for efficient data handling
- Understanding of CI/CD, deployment pipelines, infrastructure practices, and cloud environments
- Capability to conceptualize and implement scalable design and architecture solutions
- Skills in optimizing code for improved performance and maintainability
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

- Showcase of previous experience handling complex enterprise-grade software projects
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and improving existing systems' performance
- Flexibility to work across cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic technical environments
