QA and Support Engineer (Spring Boot & Mobile Applications)
Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated QA and Support Engineer with 12 years of experience to join our team. The role involves ensuring the quality of Spring Bootbased backend services and mobile applications, as well as providing Level 2 support for deployed projects. This position is ideal for candidates with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering reliable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Design and execute test cases, test plans, and scenarios for Spring Boot microservices and mobile apps (Android/iOS).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and UI testing.
- Conduct API testing using Postman and automate scenarios with RestAssured or similar tools.
- Support test automation using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Appium.
- Validate mobile app performance across multiple devices and platforms.
- Document test results, track defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
Support Engineering
- Provide Level 2 support for Spring Boot and mobile application issues.
- Investigate, reproduce, and troubleshoot incidents raised by users or L1 support.
- Work across Linux and Microsoft operating systems to debug and resolve issues.
- Analyze logs and Database.
- Use GitLab and Bitbucket for source code, version control, and release validations.
- Deliver timely resolutions, document fixes, and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
- Maintain a knowledge base of issues, resolutions, and support documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12 years of hands-on experience in QA testing and/or application support.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience testing mobile apps (Android/iOS) and APIs using Postman.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, TestNG, RestAssured).
- Comfortable working on Linux and Microsoft OS environments.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab and Bitbucket for code and release support.
- Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) for validation and debugging.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
