Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer / Power BI Developer to join our Enterprise Application Services (EAS) team in Bangalore. This dynamic and cross-functional role blends data engineering with business intelligence development, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, and Azure Data Engineering technologies.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in leading or supporting the migration from Tableau to Power BI, optimizing ETL workflows, and building scalable applications using Microsoftu2019s low-code/no-code ecosystem. This is a key opportunity to contribute to our digital transformation journey and shape the future of data analytics within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead or support the migration of dashboards and reports from Tableau to Power BI

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL workflows and data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data tools

Build and manage end-to-end solutions using Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful data visualizations and automation solutions

Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization across all BI and engineering solutions

Create and maintain technical documentation, including process flows and best practices

Participate in Agile project teams and contribute to sprint planning, development, and reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI

Expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service deployment

Proficiency with Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate (Power Pages is a plus)

Hands-on experience in ETL pipeline development

Working knowledge of Azure Data Engineering tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake)

Strong programming skills in Python for data transformation, scripting, or automation

Experience with or exposure to Tableau-to-Power BI migrations

Solid understanding of SQL, data warehousing concepts, and Git/version control

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Power Platform, or Azure Data Engineering

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Background in process automation, Python scripting, or Microsoft cloud integrations

Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices for BI and analytics deployments.
