Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support Deliverables: Complete technical support tasks as defined in the project plan, including Cisco routing, switching, and WLAN configuration and validations.
- Network Configuration and Maintenance: Configure routing and switching equipment; assist in setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software; perform end-to-end commissioning with customer representatives.
- Firewall Management: Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policies; implement security tools, policies, and procedures.
- Network Design and Implementation: Conduct data network fault investigations; design and activate network sites; resolve tickets of varying severity; deactivate devices and circuits as needed.
- Customer Interaction: Provide remote support to end users/customers during installation; communicate with customers for initial requirement capture; ensure performance meets SLA standards.
- Project Management: Lead and support networking and facility projects; handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Network Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor network performance; maintain documentation related to network configurations, operations, and maintenance.
- Collaboration and Continuous Learning: Collaborate with IT staff to manage network and server resources; stay updated with the latest networking technologies and trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Cisco hardware (L3, Meraki, Catalyst, WLAN); experience with network routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF); network administration and engineering skills; troubleshooting and network security skills; network design skills; experience in network configuration and maintenance; knowledge of network security principles and best practices. Basic Knowledge of Firewall, Gateway, Router & loadbalancer
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Certifications and Education: Relevant certifications/Training (CCNA, CCNP); Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; experience with Linux, MAC and Windows configuration & support
