Job Description
Position Overview:
Senior Technical Consultant would be responsible for the development and execution of data strategies leveraging Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Power BI. Your role will involve delivering scalable BI solutions, managing advanced analytics projects, and fostering a data-driven culture. You will be responsible for driving data insights that help the organization and its clients make informed, strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will combine strong expertise in Data Analytics, Cloud technologies, AI and a deep understanding of business needs.Key Responsibilities:
Technical Implementation:
- Utilize Power Query for data extraction and transformation, and apply DAX for custom calculations and advanced analysis.
Data Modeling:
- Develop data models, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and efficient performance within the Power BI platform.
Design & Development:
- Create and manage Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business needs.
Client Engagement
- Act as a BI and analytics consultant to clients, recommending Microsoft-based solutions to meet their business needs.
- Design and deliver workshops, presentations, and proofs of concept to demonstrate the value of Microsoft BI solutions.
BI Infrastructure
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable BI solutions.
- Ensure data pipelines are optimized.
- Implement and enforce data governance and security best practices.
Data Insights and Reporting
- Build advanced dashboards, KPIs, and reports using Power BI tailored to business and client needs.
- Leverage machine learning and AI capabilities in Azure (e.g., Azure Machine Learning) to provide predictive insights.
- Deliver actionable insights to clients and internal teams, aligning analytics efforts with business goals.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on Microsoft technology advancements (e.g., Fabric, Azure OpenAI) and implement them where relevant.
- Advocate for the use of self-service BI tools like Power BI and promote user training across teams and clients.
- Regularly evaluate BI systems and processes for efficiency and innovation.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. M.E/M. Tech is preferred.
Experience
- 3-6 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles, with expertise in Microsoft technologies.
- Proven experience managing BI and data analytics teams in a client-focused environment.
- Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end BI solutions in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in BI tools: Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Expertise in database technologies: SQL, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, ADF, Data flows etc.
- Strong understanding of data modeling (star schema, OLAP, etc.) and data architecture
- Programming: Proficiency in T-SQL, Python, or R for advanced analytics.
- Cloud Expertise: Knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Data Factory, Machine Learning, Logic Apps), AWS, GCP
- AI and ML Tools: Familiarity with integrating AI and machine learning models in BI workflows using Azure AI.
Soft Skills
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to build cross-functional relationships.
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
