Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Drum Teacher Responsibilities

Teach rhythmic patterns, time signatures, and tempo control.
Train students in drum rudiments, coordination, and stick technique.
Develop independence between limbs (for drum kit players).
Introduce various styles: rock, jazz, funk, Latin, etc.
Incorporate metronome practice and ensemble timing.

Guitar Teacher Responsibilities

Teach chords, scales, arpeggios, and fretboard navigation.
Instruct in different genres (classical, rock, blues, etc.).
Guide on fingerstyle, strumming patterns, and picking techniques.
Show how to read tablature and standard notation.
Teach use of effects pedals and amplifier settings (if applicable).

Keyboard Teacher Responsibilities

Train students in sight-reading, scales, and chord progressions.
Emphasize hand coordination, dynamics, and pedal use.
Teach accompaniment techniques and improvisation.
Introduce digital keyboards, synthesizers, and MIDI basics (if relevant).
Help interpret a wide variety of musical styles.
