SAP is seeking an experienced SAP Lead Basis Consultant to take ownership of Basis AMS Service delivery across a complex SAP landscape for multiple customers. The candidate needs to possess strong SAP Basis expertise, excellent communication skills, and should have led a delivery team of 10+ members.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the delivery of the AMS services by the team for the customer in alignment with the scope providing support services across SAP environments including ECC 6.0, S/4HANA, CRM, SCM, BW/4HANA
Always ensures SLA adherence and Process compliance as per SAP standards
Plays a pivotal role in Technical Service delivery with seamless collaboration with other SAP Teams to drive agile resolution of critical issues
Expert in guiding the team on troubleshooting activities in Basis, Security and Data growth aspects of the SAP applications
Focus on Innovation and Continuous improvement; Leverage AI based automations to be weaved into service delivery
Quality Assurance Deliverables & documentation are maintained for each service component
Maintain Shift rotations and oversee seamless handovers to maintain service continuity
Do Risk identification and prepare mitigation or response plan
Responsible for management reporting on monthly basis Internal and Customer
Act as first point of escalation for the service delivery; Lead the Delivery team from Basis point of view
Participate in customer calls, identify focus area and consult client in critical areas
Drives RCA Based approach as an integral part of the delivery
Review Service Performance Reports (Monthly), Issue Tracker & Open Items (Weekly), and Continuous Improvement Reports (Monthly) for the customer
Versatile in handing complex and difficult customer discussions and interactions; aware of the escalation process in service execution
Sound understanding of SAP Cloud ALM , Focused Run (FRUN) , and ITSM ticketing tools to manage incidents and service delivery
Drive continuous improvement in process or service delivery and driving adoption of AI based automation
Provide Customer pulse, publish SLA & KPI reports and provide performance insights to leadership and stakeholders
What you bring:
Education:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems , or related field
Work Experience and Mandatory Skills:
Excellent communication skills verbal and written, for effective interaction with global stakeholders
15-20 years of SAP Basis experience in large-scale environments
In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis Administration including HANA DB , ABAP/Java stacks , and SAP landscape management
Expertise in handling teams of 10+ consultants catering to multiple customers
Knowledge about systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, CRM applications
SAP Basis certification is mandatory
ITIL Certification shall be mandatory
