Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Informatica Cloud Data Catalog Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our data management group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective utilization and management of data assets within our organization.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months to 2 years of hands-on experience administering Informatica Cloud Data Catalog.
- Overall 5 years of admin experience in administering and managing- Informatica Products
- Proficiency in metadata management, data governance, and data lineage concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities:
Business Glossary management
- Create and manage custom attributes, promotion of custom attributes
- Manage and promote business glossary to higher environment
- Manage multiple tenants Dev, test and Prod environments
Data Catalog Management:
- Administer and maintain the Informatica Cloud Data Catalog platform.
- Create, manage, and organize metadata assets, including data sources, glossaries, business terms, and lineage information.
- Monitor data catalog health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Manage overall administrator activities
Access Control and Security:
- Create and manage user access, roles, custom roles
- Define and enforce access controls for data catalog users.
- Implement security policies to safeguard sensitive data.
- Regularly review and audit user permissions.
Integration and Collaboration:
- Integrate the data catalog with other Informatica products and third-party tools such as Salesforce, Sharepoint
- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to ensure seamless data governance and collaboration.
Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain documentation related to data catalog administration.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data catalog usage and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certification: Informatica Cloud Data Catalog Administrator certification (preferred).
