IoT Engineer - Full Stack Hardware Development @ Hitachi

Job Description

As an IoT Engineer at Kalkey, you will play a crucial role in redefining the future of IoT by working on cutting-edge IoT hardware. Your responsibilities will include: - Hardware Development & Design: - Creating custom PCB layouts using Altium, KiCad, or Eagle - Sourcing optimal sensors, microcontrollers, and components - Drafting detailed schematics and maintaining library databases - Optimizing designs through Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices - Firmware & Communication Protocols: - Developing and testing embedded firmware in C/C++ - Implementing MQTT and secure IoT communication stacks - Configuring WiFi, Bluetooth, LoRaWAN, and cellular connectivity - Applying encryption and cybersecurity best practices in firmware - Manufacturing & Production Support: - Liaising with manufacturing partners from prototype to volume production - Building testing protocols and assisting in debugging production issues - Writing detailed assembly and manufacturing documentation - System Integration & Testing: - Integrating hardware with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) - Conducting system-level validation and performance tuning - Building automated test frameworks for quality assurance - Monitoring field performance and continuously optimizing devices Qualifications Required: - B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics or related field - 3+ years of experience in IoT hardware development and PCB design - Proficiency in Altium, KiCad, or Eagle - Embedded C/C++ for microcontrollers (e.g., ESP32, STM32) - Experience implementing MQTT and wireless protocols - Circuit design skills, both analog and digital - Experience in sourcing and managing component supply chains Additionally, Kalkey offers a competitive salary, performance-based incentives, stock options, the opportunity to work on groundbreaking IoT innovations, training, mentorship, flexible hours, remote work options, and an inclusive and collaborative team culture.,
