Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audits
Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts
Submitting quarterly Vat returns
Carrying out bank reconciliations
Maintaining and updating fixed asset records
Managing ledgers
Producing budgets and forecasts
Negotiation and administration of company insurances and pensions
Managing cash flow and bank balances
Dealing with Companies House and National Statistics returns
Providing cover for the Accounts Administrator duties, including payroll and purchase ledger administration
Providing general financial advice to the Managing Director, Shareholders and Managers
Person Specification
Typical qualities of a Company Accountant may include.
Familiar with Accounting software such as Sage or Xero
Qualified by experience or studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification
Able to communicate confidently with business owner / managers and external stakeholders.
