Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Billing Data Analyst to join our Billing Operations team. In this role, you ll turn complex billing data into clear insights that improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience. You ll build dashboards, investigate anomalies, and partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to streamline the order-to-cash process. This is a high-impact role with visibility to leadership and the opportunity to shape how Toast scales its billing operations.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Build and maintain dashboards to track billing KPIs (accuracy, timeliness, exceptions, disputes) and Collections KPIs (daily cash, DSO, overdue, write-offs).
- Investigate root causes of billing issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Automate recurring reporting and deliver insights using SQL and BI tools.
- Partner with Finance, RevOps, and Product to align on billing data sources and metrics.
- Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, business-focused narrative.
- Translate complex data into clear, meaningful reports and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and reporting automation.
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics or BI, with a focus on Order-to-Cash (O2C), Billing, or Finance domains.
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Strong background in data visualization with tools such as Hex, Looker,Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into insights that drive business outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Special Sauce (Nice to Haves):*
- Experience with billing/revenue systems (Zuora Billing, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce).
- Background in SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
