Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) plans and procedures across all sites.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and prepare mitigation measures.
- Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Enforce safety rules and ensure workers and subcontractors use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Organize safety inductions, training sessions, and toolbox talks for site personnel.
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain statutory safety records including accident logs, training records, and PPE issuance.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and client safety representatives.
- Ensure availability and proper use of fire-fighting equipment and maintain emergency preparedness.
- Liaise with local authorities regarding safety norms and inspections.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or Engineering.
- Certification in Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Safety Diploma) is preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction, fit-out, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of statutory safety requirements (Factories Act, BOCW, etc.).
- Excellent observation, communication, and training skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years relevant experience in Retail & Commercial fit-out works (general contracting), manufacturing, or construction industries.
Compensation:
- Annual Salary Range: 2,00,000 to 5,50,000.
