Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Design & Layout: Creates designs for mechanical (like HVAC), electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring proper layout and space allocation within the building structure.
- Planning & Scheduling: Develops detailed plans for MEP system installation, integrating them into the overall construction schedule to avoid delays and ensure timely project completion.
- Material & Equipment Selection: Chooses appropriate materials and components for the MEP systems based on project requirements, budget, and performance.
- Coordination: Acts as a key liaison between architects, contractors, project managers, and other teams to ensure seamless communication and smooth execution of MEP works.
- Quality Control: Supervises installation processes to ensure they adhere to international building codes, standards, and design specifications.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manages the budget and resources allocated for MEP systems and tracks progress to identify potential inefficiencies or cost overruns.
- Problem-Solving & Commissioning: Troubleshoots issues that arise during installation and conducts thorough system testing (commissioning) to verify functionality after installation.
