Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage BI projects from start to finish; gather information and requirements from business partners on BI initiatives, translate requirements into project plans, coordinate with off-shore teams via daily calls, track project status within Jira, set expectations and communicate with business partners, and ensure final deliverable meets business partners needs.
- Design, develop and maintain reporting and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI reporting software while leveraging data visualization best practices.
- Write complex SQL queries to build performant data extracts in Power BI.
- Plan and lead the QC/QA and UAT by creating test plans, use cases and coordinating with the data warehouse developers and business community.
- Maintain knowledge repository for both project documentation, BI and other technical skills.
- Work with Data Integration Managers and Leads to deliver solutions for data needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in quantitative field and 5-7 years experience in business intelligence, primarily working with the latest versions of Power BI; additional experience developing Power Apps or Python is ideal.
- Proficient with SQL; familiar with database design; experience working with large data sets. Advanced Power BI user with experience designing dashboards leveraging visualization best practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills. Prior experience coordinating with off-shore developers.
- Detail oriented with ability to independently validate / triangulate data and analysis.
- Able to prioritize multiple requests while completing deliverables on time. Self-motivated and can work independently. Ability to troubleshoot, track, and resolve day-to-day issues.
- Must be comfortable with unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving high growth environment. Passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
