Job Description
- Java Backend Lead engineer. Angular experience will be a plus. Scrum Experience.
- Hands-on experience in Java application development
- Passionate about exploring and implementing new ideas and technologies
- Experience lead ing a group of software developers
- Performing requirement analysis.
- Reviewing the work of other developers and providing code review feedback.
- Using coding standards and best practices to ensure quality.
- Planning, Monitoring, reporting the status of teamwork
- If required, working with architects on designs
- Experience in estimations
- Good to have - Identifying risks and conducting mitigation action planning.
- Excellent communication skills
- Develop, and maintain backend services using Java (preferably with Spring Boot).
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Work as part of RUN and On call teams when required
- Ability to analyze Java code - reverse engineer and come with AS-IS documentation
- Programming Fundamentals (Java / Java Script) and Debugging Skills
- Experience in doing Impact Analysis and Work Package Estimation
- Experience with Java, Spring, Spring boot, Spring batch, Apache Solr NoSQL, Open Search Elastic Search, Websphere, Openshift, GitLab, Oracle
- Experience with Java / J2EE frameworks across Presentation Layer Spring MVC, Business Layer (Spring), Data Layer
- Experience working in either SAFe / Scrum and using Jira
- Understanding of iterative, waterfall SDLC
- Experience in RESTful services
- Communication and collaboration skills
Negotiable experience
- Colruyt Java Old stack experience
- Experience with Presentation Layer technology stack Angular 6 and above, HTML5, SS3/Bootstrap,
- Retail domain experience
- Experience working with European clients
- Java Certifications like Java Programmer, Web Component Developer, Business Component Developer, Web Services Developer (Oracle / Sun)
- SAFe experience
- Experience working in Support projects
