Role & responsibilities
About the Role:
The Senior Dot Net Programmer will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining high-quality software applications. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test applications that meet business requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong programming skills and a deep understanding of the .NET microservices framework. The role includes integration with various Azure services and implementing modern authentication mechanisms like JWT and OAuth, and handling heavy data operations including batch processing.
Required Skills and Technologies:
- Extensive experience with C#, .NET 8/9, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of JWT, OAuth, and other modern authentication/authorization protocols.
- Proven expertise with Entity Framework Core and SQL databases.
- Experience with developing unit test cases and test-driven development.
- Proficient in using Azure cloud services, including Key Vault, AD B2C, API Management, Storage Accounts, App Services, and Application Insights.
- Familiarity with logging frameworks like Serilog, NLog, or similar.
- Solid understanding of OOPS concepts and software design patterns.
- Experience with batch processing and managing heavy data operations.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and Git version control.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework (ASP.NET, MVC, Web API).
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
- Knowledge of database systems, particularly MS SQL Server, and experience with Entity Framework or similar ORM tools.
- Familiarity with source control tools like Git or SVN.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in software development with a focus on .NET applications with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of cloud technologies like Azure or AWS is a plus.
