Role & responsibilities

The responsibilities of a First Class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency includes:

Overseeing all daily mining operations, including production and resource extraction.
Ensuring strict adherence to all relevant safety protocols, environmental regulations, and mining laws.
Managing the mining workforce, including supervision, training, and manpower planning.
Planning and executing mining projects, from design to the extraction process.
Controlling and managing budgets for mining operations.
Liaising with government departments and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Ensuring the availability and up-time of machinery and equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

Typical requirements : To be a qualified candidate for these positions, you will typically need:

A First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (unrestricted or restricted depending on the mine type).
A degree in mining engineering (B.E. or B.Tech).
Significant experience in mining operations, which can range from 5 to 20+ years depending on the seniority of the role.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with relevant mining software and technology.
