Senior Accounting Specialist @ Toast

Payroll Accounting & Compliance
Prepare payroll accounting for US and EMEA entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local statutory requirements, SOX controls, and internal audit standards.

Month-End Close & Reporting
Support month-end and quarter-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations (payroll, prepaid, fixed assets) and payroll cost flux analysis.
Deliver accurate schedules and insights for management and auditors.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
Partner with Payroll Operations, Finance & Strategy, and other teams to ensure data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and provide audit support.

Process Improvement & Technology
Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements in payroll accounting. Explore opportunities to apply AI and advanced analytics to improve
efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial processes

Documentation & System Management
Maintain up-to-date process documentation and standard operating procedures.
Support new system implementations by participating in UAT for accounting processes.

Do you have the right ingredients*(Requirements)
CA/CPA/CMA 3 to 4 years or semi-qualified or >5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Knowledge of general accounting principles (US GAAP)
Experience with cloud-based ERP/financial systems (NetSuite, ZIP & Floqast etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic.
