Senior Software Engineer(Node.js /API Backend Developer) @ Sonata Software

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Develop & optimize APIs for customer data processing using Node.js & PostgreSQL. Build & enhance UI components for segmentation & consent management using React. Work with Salesforce Data Cloud to integrate customer profiles with downstream marketing activities. Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure microservices using Kubernetes. Leverage Clojure (5%) for specific data processing or functional programming needs. Implement real-time data pipelines & event-driven architectures for customer insights. Ensure data security & compliance with privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) for consent management. Collaborate with data science & marketing teams to build machine-learning-driven customer segmentation. Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and resilience. Required Skills & Experience: Primary Skills: Backend Development: Node.js, PostgreSQL, RESTful & GraphQL APIs Frontend Development: React.js, UI state management (Redux/Zustand) Cloud & Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure CRM & Data Management: Salesforce Data Cloud, Customer Segmentation Security & Compliance: Authentication (OAuth, JWT), GDPR/CCPA compliance Secondary Skills: Functional Programming (Clojure - 5%) Event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS) CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform) Monitoring & Logging (Prometheus, DataDog, Splunk) AI/ML-driven customer segmentation (Preferred) Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with customer data platforms (CDPs) and marketing automation tools. Strong understanding of data privacy laws and their impact on customer data management. Ability to architect & scale customer data solutions in a multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environment. Previous experience in ad-tech, mar-tech, or customer analytics domains is a plus
